We created Orcas Island Leather to share the joy and excitement that our family has discovered in crafting handmade leather goods. Both Mike and I love the creative process of designing new patterns and selecting the perfect leather combination for a new clutch or crossbody bag.
It was through a rollercoaster of seemingly unrelated happy accidents that we discovered new laser cutting techniques that we had never considered before, and through these large technological investments, has allowed us to grow our offerings beyond this special island.
Our hope is that you find the same satisfaction of discovery while crafting your own high-end leather goods. A sense of accomplishment, creative expression and pride in creating something new, watching it turn from a few flat disjointed pieces into something to be loved, admired and enjoyed for years and years to come.
