Leather is a natural material which means it may have marks and/or variations in color and texture. This is normal and is part of the charm and beauty of leather. 

Our leather is precision cut on a laser, and there may be a small amount of char remaining on the edges and in the holes. This is normal, and if it’s excessive simply wipe with a dry towel.

Gorgeous Bag

Difficulty Level
This is my second DIY project from Orcas Leather. The first was the bifold wallet which is great for beginners. This project is a step up from the wallet in difficulty. I would recommend trying one of the simpler projects to get a feel for saddle stitching and learning your capabilities before taking on this bag. Then you’ll have the skills and some practice.

Materials
The leather is so amazing. I’ve had so many people comment on how soft a beautiful it is. Everything is prepared for you and ready to see which means I can spend all just relaxing while a see this bag and don’t have to worry about a hole out of place. Everything was packaged with care.

Project
I follow the YouTube videos and would sometimes have to rewind and watch again before I understood the next step. At one point I also asked a question through the website and within the hour I received an answer. The customer service is top notch and you’ll be supported as you work on this bag or any other project with Orcas Island.

Results
The bag I put together looks amazing and I feel proud of the results. I chose (I already forget the specific names) a black leather with green for the stripe and thread. It looks fantastic and It feels great knowing I put it together.

I would recommend Orcas Island Leather to everyone and this project to anyone who wants a slightly higher difficulty for a project.

Had a great time assembling this bag. I did it over several days- each day completing another component (a much needed break from computer time). Love the final product and I’m confident it will only look better and better with use!
